MeetBSD 2018 Countdown
MeetBSD California takes place every two years in Silicon Valley and attracts both Bay Area BSD enthusiasts and attendees from around the world. First held in 2008 at Google HQ, this year’s MeetBSD will take place October 19th and 20th at the Intel Santa Clara HQ. Some attendees will arrive a day early for the FreeBSD DevSummit on October 18th and many have said they will spend even longer for meetings and visits to San Francisco.

The iXsystems Team had an enjoyable experience at this year’s SouthEast LinuxFest. We had a steady stream of attendees visit our booth to tell us how much they enjoy using FreeNAS and quite a few were interested in the FreeNAS Mini Raffle. Also, there was a myriad of questions about what’s new in FreeNAS, TrueNAS, and TrueOS’ new project, Project Trident.

LFNW 2018 Recap
The 19th annual LinuxFest Northwest event took place the last weekend of April in Bellingham, Washington and was a blast as always. A group of us organized a table representing FreeBSD, the FreeBSD Foundation, FreeNAS, and TrueOS at the original LinuxFest. The feedback was extremely positive and iXsystems looks forward to the 20th annual event next year!
