Reset Console Password

Hi first post for me.

I have an older NAS 4TB V8 I believe and lost admin password (via GUI). I want to reset it from the console but the default username/password "admin/freenas" was also changed. How do I reset the console password back to default? Ultimately I need to set-up a new account for a new employee.

There will be an option on the console setup menu to reset the WebUI login credentials Initial Setup

Thanks! I am connected to the console and its asking for a login and password which I now might have (going to try it this afternoon) . Can I stop the boot at a particular time to get to the menu before it asks for a login?

You'll get the console menu if you're physically connected to the server.

Correct but it does ask for a login which I may not have the correct login credentials. I am in a catch 22.
