One last thing to look at. In /var/log/samba4/log.smbd, you should be able to find the login authentications of the troublesome system. Is there anything enlightening there?

Yes, in fact, it is. The log shows attempts to attach to /mnt/BTC_NAS/NASMainDataDrive/gabriel, not Gabriel, as defined in your smb.conf. Did you create this dataset as case-insensitive?

I left that at default.
I should point out that when I started configuring the FreeNAS yesterday changed the datasets a few times as I learning how to do it.
This dataset no longer exists.

These are the current datasets.

Yes, Windows shares should be set as case-insensitive. Your login account as well should be set as all lower-case, as well as the share name.

I create a new dataset, test, case insensitive.

Created a new SMB share and gave "test" full control
After trying to logon as test I changed it group "production" Full Control, so I could try Gabriel and test

stopped and restarted SMB service

attempted to logon using both:
FREENAS\Gabriel
FREENAS\test

Same results

I did notice the information on /var/log/samba4/log.smbd is a few days old. Perhaps I should reboot the NAS to get more up to date data?

Yes to the reboot. You should make the Gabriel share and dataset lower-case as well.

I deleted the Gabriel dataset and created a new one "gabriel" case insensitive.
Create the gabriel SMB share with Gabriel full access

Rebooted FreeNAS

My PC logon still not working as
Tested with My Laptop as Gabriel and had no problems logon on and have full access to the FreeNAS SMB shares

log results:

OK, there's something definitely wrong with the 3rd PC. You're authenticating, but the FreeNAS server only sees a guest connection.
