Hi,

Currently got FreeNAS configured to use a static network IP (i.e. 192.168.1.xxx).

I want to make it a dynamic IP so that my router can control what IP it gets (I plan on swapping between routers frequently and its easier if both routers communicate with the same machines, than if all the machines have to keep alternating between two default gateways).

I can see that it's possible to do this from the console when in front of the box - but my FreeNAS install runs headless, and theres no screen anywhere near it.

Is there a way to do this from the Web GUI / command line?

(I tried but couldn't find any way to do it)

You can access the Console Setup menu from within the FreeNAS® GUI by typing /etc/netcli from Shell.
