I have a RAID10 zfs volume DEGRADED with two mirrors showing in the volume status. I made a mistake and somehow added a disk I wanted to use as a replacement to the zfs volume as a single stripe disk using Volume Manager and now I can't remove to correct and now have two mirrors and one stripe in the volume. If I try to take offline, it fails with 'no valid replicas' and if I try to wipe, it says I need to umount my DATA zfs volume, in which it is now part as a single striped disk. Is there a way I can remove this disk without disrupting the volume, so it can be used as the replacement to a failed one in one of the mirrors?

There's no way to remove that disk from your pool. You'll need to either add a second disk to mirror it; or back up the data, destroy the pool, recreate it correctly, and restore the data.
