No Support For Conveyance Test

Hello All,

Quick question for you guys. I recently purchased a 2TB WD Red Plus (WD20EZFX) and shucked a couple 12TB WD120EDAZ drives. Going through my regular tests before I add them to my pools and when I run the conveyance test I get the below error message:

=== START OF OFFLINE IMMEDIATE AND SELF-TEST SECTION === Conveyance Self-test functions not supported Sending command: "Execute SMART Conveyance self-test routine immediately in off-line mode". Command "Execute SMART Conveyance self-test routine immediately in off-line mode" failed: scsi error aborted command.

This surprises me very much as all of the drives show Enable S.M.A.R.T.: True under details. Long and short test doesn't exhibit this same type of behaviour.

Has anyone run into this before?

Yeah, not every drive supports unusual tests. Conveyance is a bit unusual.

Interesting but good to know. On to the long test and the badblocks routines then.
