Hey Guys

I'm running FreeNAS 9.10 and I have an external drive that has some information on it and is a USB drive. Is it possible to hook a USB drive up to the FreeNAS system? If so how do I do this?

Thanks
Earl

Depending on the filesystem on the external drive, you could try the Import Disk operation, but there are quite a few reports of it not working very well, so your best bet is probably to copy the data over the network using a client computer.

It will definitely work with FreeNAS, as for the data currently on it, l would back it all up and restore it to that disk once it is on the FreeNAS system.
