How to add new drive in an existing setup.

hi, guys this is my first time in posting in this forum and hope you can help me all and thank you in advance.

my question is i have an existing freenas running(just started yesterday building it up) with 3 500gb HDD and im planning in the future to add 1 500Gb. now is it possible to add it in a existing raid? if my raid configuration is zfs stripe? will it display almost 2tb? or will it not?

my current setup is:

amd athlon x2 II 240
6gb ddr3 1333mhz
3x 500gb HDD
zfs stripe

Yes, you can add to a stripe, keeping in mind that if any disk in the stripe fails, the data is lost as there is no redundancy. The volume extending section of the Guide explains this: http://www.freenas.org/images/resou....3.1_guide.html#__RefHeading__21161_266426721.
