After doing all of the 11.1 upgrades and monitoring the system for a couple of days I attempted the 11.2 upgrade from the browser and I am now stuck with the following error.

elf interpreter /libexec/ld-elf.so.1 not found error 2
Switching to single user mode
Enter full path of shell or hit return for /bin/sh/

console feedback during boot indicates the pool and usb was loaded with no problems, no other obvious issues.

What is the next step I should take to resolve this. TY.

Posting To Get A Response

Please include a unique and specific subject title in a new post. This helps attract the attention of people knowledgeable and interested in that type of problem or situation.

If you are receiving an error message, make sure to post the message exactly and don't paraphrase. It's important to have the full message in its entirety to get the best responses to your issue.

When discussing a piece of software, please provide the exact build number. For FreeNAS, this can be found at System ‣ Information. You'll also want to post the amount of RAM in the system. If additional hardware information is needed, you will be asked to attach a debug file. Debug files are created with the System ‣ Advanced ‣ Save Debug menu entry.

It's important to remember that hardware information is extremely important when diagnosing problems so please make sure to include this information if you need help troubleshooting a problem. This includes:
  • Motherboard make and model
  • CPU make and model
  • RAM quantity
  • Hard drives, quantity, model numbers, and RAID configuration, including boot drives
  • Hard disk controllers
  • Network cards
It can be convenient to add hardware information to your signature (click your username ‣ Signature). Remember to update that signature when your hardware changes.

Thank you. I have redone my signature, I am not sure why the information was no longer there.

I don't know how to get the more verbose screen info into this message.

Looks like the config file I have before the upgrade is corrupt and I just finished tearing up the office looking for the backup I had on usb, my daughter has put boy band mp3's on it. #$%^@

How good is freenas at detecting an existing pool. The only thing I could find was the report below, not sure if it helps much.

Checking status of zfs pools:
NAME SIZE ALLOC FREE EXPANDSZ FRAG CAP DEDUP HEALTH ALTROOT
freenas-boot 14G 2.47G 11.5G - - 17% 1.00x ONLINE -
master 14.5T 8.42T 6.08T - 20% 58% 1.00x ONLINE /mnt

pool: master
state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An
attempt was made to correct the error. Applications are unaffected.
action: Determine if the device needs to be replaced, and clear the errors
using 'zpool clear' or replace the device with 'zpool replace'.

What's the complete output of zpool status within code tags? Normally I'd say just recreate your config and you're good but it looks like at least one of your storage disks has an issue.

This is the latest report I could find. The disk was replaced.

Can I get new boot media install 11.1 (or 11.2) and have it auto detect the volume and datasets. Can freenas do that?

There is no more info from zpool- status. This was all I had from an email alert.

Bit the bullet and did a fresh install and all have come back up first time around.I tink I have a problem with something being 32bit as a fresh install with 11.2 flagged a driver issue.

Thank you.
