On April 27, 2014, Ben Milman gave a talk to a packed room during the 15th annual LinuxFest Northwest. The presentation taught newcomers to open source operating systems how to set up a Network Attached Storage device for their home or office using the FreeNAS software appliance.
A live demonstration accompanied the talk and was performed on a virtual machine, showing the installation process and initial configuration of volumes and shares.
