Hello Guys,

Freenas 8.3.0
minidlna-1.0.24_1-amd64
mountpoint from: /mnt/RaidZ1/Samba/Films
to: /usr/pbi/minidlna-amd64/www

media dir: /usr/pbi/minidlna-amd64/www/

I created a mount point, minidlna pointed to the mount point but when i browse to http://ipminidln:8200 i see >
MiniDLNA status
Audio files: 0
Video files: 0
Image files: 0

check box strict dlna doesnt change a thing.

Mount point tested ('chrooted' in the jail en cd'ed to the mount point)

Any suggestions?

Have your created a file in the /mnt/RaidZ1/Samba/Films and then checked in /usr/pbi/minidlna-amd64/www using the shell to see if the files are being duplicated??

i just did a "touch test" in /mnt/RaidZ1/Samba/Films and it appeared in /usr/pbi/minidlna-amd64/www so the mount point is working.

I seem to remember that 'too long mount point names' in the jail might fail. I'm not sure if it's still the case. You might try to point to the /media/ folder in the main jail folder. Works good for me.

Here is another guess. Go in the FreeNAS GUI for the minidlna plugin settings. Make sure Media directory path is inside the jail (not the entire path). Mine is /media/Movies.

Also, double check the Mount Point is mounted. (I'm pretty sure you check!)

The main difference with your first log with mine is the scan line.

I noticed that i need to chown root:wheel my media folders, but i also use these folder in a cifs share with local user authentication.

My movies are root:movies so only the users in the group movies have access to the share. But when i need to change this to wheel for dlna only root and wheel can access the share.

Is there a workaround for?
