My love for using old and/or cheap hardware for NAS builds sometimes bites me in the behind, but I can't help myself.
I have recently acquired a motherboard that does not support >2.2TB drives. Certainly not to boot from, but from what I can gather, also not as data drives.
This shouldn't be a problem, since I can use a SAS/SATA controller that does have 3TB support. But will the non-3TB motherboard prevent this?
With current drive prices as they are, I can't justify buying one just to test this.
