Hello,
i have from the beginning huge problems with speed.
My setup contains of Celerpm J1800, 2GB RAM , Ethernet realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 (gigabit), adaptec series 6-6G (hw raid) + 3x3TB HDD, 60GB ADATA SSD,
Problem is that even web interface is sometimes loading like minute or sometimes even three minutes, data transfers are at maximum of 5MB/s from NAS to PC.
Sometimes speed get to 12MB/s but on gigabit network it should be faster (checked and changed cables)
For information ZFS is disabled and RAID is connected as one disk.

I have read all about not to use hw raid with freenas but i donť like ZFS and i like my adaptec so don't tell me how it is wrong!!!

What i don't understand is that if I can with adaptec on windows machine get speeds over 100MB/s why not on freenas?
And second question why freeNAS is toooo slow when it is running from SSD SATA disk with read and write over 100mb/s?

On picture below is oscilating speed when I copy file it is fluctuationg from several KBs to approximately 5MBs.

Thank you.

FreeNAS clearly is not for you, pick another NAS solution that will meet your needs

You must be kidding?
The first thing I see is not enough memory, a Realtek network card and a hardware RAID controller... All bad hardware choices.
You need to review the hardware guide:

If you don't want to be told that you are wrong when you are wrong, don't ask why it isn't working.

You got the wrong hardware for FreeNAS. That is why it isn't working.

Recommend one.. i am using FreeNAS because of its software functionalities.
I did not find free solution with nextcloud, plex, transmission, sftp, samba solution that will work on hw raid.

FreeNAS is not Windows. Two different systems with different hardware requirements. Why is that hard to understand.

That is a combination of not having enough RAM and the Realtek network card being garbage.

I was reading minimum requirements and high amoutnt of RAM and powerfull CPU is only for calculating ZFS if I do not need them why I should install more powerfull hardware?

I had 8gigs of RAM but with no solution.
And in hw specs is nothing about relatek.. it is onboard so it works best with MB and other so i do not see problem there.

ZFS is the file system, you can't avoid using it if you are using a modern version of FreeNAS.

Post your system details as spelled out in the rules:

Your system isn't working because you are doing it wrong. If you don't want to change, you are not going to fix it.

OK so you are telling me that FreeNAS on BSD has greater HW requirements than WIN10 - one problem with that shouldn't linux be lower on requirements... my opinion.
OK tell me which HW is wrong and tell me why i think i don't understand this part..
I have never had problem with realtek network cards if you have i am sorry but i can try to change network card and test another, something to recommend?

Oh sorry I missed that latest stable 11.1-US
And for information FreeNAS is just now using at most 5% CPU and 5% of RAM right now when i am donwloading torrents and streaming.. so i don't thing it is hardware problem

What are you trying to accomplish, both with asking the question and this system? What outcome do you expect?
