As title. I did the latest update (dated today 15/3/15) and pressed the "Verify Install" button and it reported a checksum failure on "/conf/base/etc/resolv.conf". The contents of resolv.conf look fairly sensible and I am not sure why it should have checksum on a file either carried over from the previous version or synthesised newly from config. information.

Should I worry?

It could be a quirk/bug, similar to what is hinted at here.

Thanks. I suppose I could revert to a previous version and see if it has gone away. But I think I would rather not know! I'll wait for the next update and try again, in a spirit of scientific enquiry. As long is it only complains about harmless and checkable text files I won't worry too much. No zpool status errors anyway.

I just updated to FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201503200528 and have the same resolv.conf error on verify.

Cheers,

You can safely ignore it. The verification feature is still a work in progress.

I am also running FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201503200528 and got the following error on verify:

The following Inconsistencies were found in your Current Install:
List of Checksum Mismatches:
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.16/man/whatis

I'm not going to lose any sleep over this one...

The update GUI is a bit flaky, in the sense that the 'Pending updates' box sometimes has a sentence in it saying no update available (or words to that effect) and is sometimes blank. And when an update is available and downloaded it sometimes shows the update and sometimes it is blank, or says none available; in the latter case, navigating away and then back to the tab usually reveals the pending update. This may, of course, be browser related.
