SOLVED Trouble setting up ISCSI extent

In the add target screen I don't get a "type" choice or pull down and in the add extent when I select device there aren't any devices to choose from. I've read setup guides and have watched a lot of videos. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Version 9.2.0-RELEASE-x64 (ab098f4). 3.6TiB ZFS volume with a NFS share. Any help to point me in the right direction would be great. Thank you.

Are you doing the 8 steps listed on http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/ISCSI in order? Order is important as later steps depend on earlier ones.

Regarding the extent, have you created a zvol yet?

I got everything working setting it up with a file extent.

I think I see where I may have gone wrong trying to create the device extent. I did have the zvol but the extent didn't see it in the device pull down. I did at one point have the zvol set up as a cifs share. I deleted the share but did not delete the zvol before trying to set up the device extent. I'll have to try to recreate what I did wrong with a virtual at some point. As soon as I got the iscsi working with the file extent I put the san into production. Thank you again for your help.
