I am trying to setup a iSCSI device using a striped. I am not worried about data redundancy on this device as this machine is a backup of a backup. I've already setup the disks into a stripe. However when I visit the Device Extents section I am unable to see the stripe to select it as an extent. I don't think a file extent would be a good idea as I am backing up many large files here.

Am I missing something here? From what I have read elsewhere this should be possible: http://forums.freenas.org/showthread.php?1504-Stripped-iSCSI-Volume

Create a volume on the stripe set and use that as the device extent.

Ahh I guess that seems obvious now. Yea it needed to have a zfs volume on the stripe to do that. I thought it would work directly to the device.

Thanks.
