map network drive wont work for me as posted above i have to manually enter it, it was broken on a more recent update idk which

as to the homegroup you can just make a new one, should be easy unless you have 20 computers,

Or you can go old-skool and make a .bat file with "net use z: \\ip-address\share" then run it on all the computers.
