Hi all,
I am reasonably new to FreeBSD and I am trying to set up access to my FreeNAS (awesome!) server with different access levels for the windows user. I cannot find an example to show me the process so I appreciate and links you may have found in the past.
CIFS shares I set up:
\\DATA\Movies
\\DATA\Photos
\\DATA\Backup
I want to set up two users that I can connect to from my windows PCs:
user: DAD
- with read and write (full control access)
- password protected - needs password every time
user: FAMILY
- with read only access
- no password needed (guest account?)
Lastly, I have installed EMBY server and it creates folders which it uses to hold downloaded metadata. I cannot delete these unless I log into the FreeBSD console and manually "rm -R foldername". Is this a matter of connecting user DAD to an Emby group? I could not find the group name for this in the groups list.
Thank you for any help!
