SATA Drive not Seen

I have decided to upgrade my NAS to a faster processor with 4gb of ram, it also includes a JMicron raid controller. I then put a 80gb IDE for temp storage for now.

My problem is that I have an SATA drive also connected and the BIOS see it, but not NAS device. The NAS device sees the IDE drive and the two drives connected to the raid controller. Is there something I am missing in the configuration?

Did you install FreeNAS on the SATA drive? If so, that's the problem. The OS needs to be on a separate device - the manual recommends installing it on a 4Gb flash drive.

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned, I installed the NAS system onto a 16gb flash device.
