I have purchased a new Toshiba 2TB Sata drive. When booting to freenas, the drive it not able to be seen.

The drive is shown in the BIOS and works properly when booting to Windows.

I have searched google and these forums, and to be honest, most of what I see, I do not understand as I am just starting to use freeNAS.

I used the same machine in the past, and was able to see and use IDE drives just fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Stoney

Your hardware is inadequate. Dangerously so. Please read the stickies regarding hardware recommendations.

Putting that aside, without telling us what motherboard/SATA controller you're using, there's not much we can say.
