I have an old 500GB IDE hard drive Seagate ST3500630A that i installed as extra storage,

I am using a IDE to sata adapter,

I connected it but when i log into freenas, it's not under "Disks" area or not seen even in the "Pools" area

i tried another IDE hard drive and same thing, is it my adapter? or are IDE hard drives not supported on freenas

I wanted to get good use my IDE drives until their death, since it's just sitting around collecting dust

is there a way to get IDE drives to work in freenas?

FreeNAS is probably not the best way to make this happen. But still, if the underlying OS seeks the disk, it should show in the GUI. What's the output of camcontrol devlist?
