Restriction on Selected data folder

I need to apply some restrictions on a particular project folder so the user can only read data from that folder or they can watch training videos from that folder but they shouldn't copy that data/videos from TrueNAS to another location

Is anyone having a solution to this please let me know?

read-only is the closest thing but it wouldn't stop them copying data from the share to another location.

If you're talking about giving users access to the files over SMB or NFS, forget your idea, there's no way to restrict what is done with the data once it moves to the client.

You may be able to use something like Nextcloud and/or a media streamer to ensure that the users can only watch videos and view documents, but also with those, there will be no absolute guarantees that materials can't be copied/saved if they can be viewed.
