Hi Guys

Busy building my Nas box, I want to use iscsi but I just read now that i need 16gig of ram min. I currently have 8gig.
how big of a issue is it? There will not be mush traffic.

thanks

Welcome to the forums!

The documentation states: "For iSCSI, install at least 16 GB of RAM if performance is not critical, or at least 32 GB of RAM if good performance is a requirement."

32GB of RAM is the minimum requirement if you want decent performance. You can 'get by' -- just barely! -- with 16GB if you're just tinkering and have low expectations.

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. Will do some testing and see. I suspect the board can't handel more than 8gig. Will have to check.
