Hi guys,

I have Freenas 11U4 and I want to set up a Plex Media Server. My FreeNAS GUI is at 192.168.2.3 . This is a static IP outside the DHCP of my router.
I have my Supermicro motherboard IPMI also outside the DHCP range, on 192.168.2.2
I want to install Plex on a separate SSD, with only Jails. The only jail running now is Plex. I want to have IP 192.168.2.4 as Plex GUI IP address (also outside dhcp).

In my Freenas Global Configuration IPv4 Default gateway is the DHCP router: 192.168.2.254, also DNS Nameserver 1 is 192.168.2.254

My DHCP start at 192.168.2.10 to 200

My Jails config is IPv4 Network: 192.168.2.254/24
IPv4 Network Start Address: 192.168.2.4
IPv4 Network End Address: 192.168.2.9

My jails starts, but i can't get the Plex GUI at 192.168.2.4:32400

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Ronald

What is the IP assigned to the jail? Also what is the static IP range listed in you jails configuration tab?

The actual address is https://192.168.2.4:32400/web the /web is very important.

Also click on the jails at the top and then make sure that is the IP given to your Jail.

Also the IPv4 network should read 192.168.2.0/24. 192.168.2.254 is a valid IP address with .0 being the network address and .255 being the broadcast address.

Router:
LAN IP ADDRESS: 192.168.2.254
DHCP START: 192.168.2.10
DHCP END: 192.168.2.200
Primairy DNS: 192.168.2.254
Router LOGIN PAGE: http://192.168.2.254/

So, is it correct what you say about the network v4? is it 192.168.2.0/24?
