Microsoft account not mapping to the correct user

I have a couple of user accounts set up as Microsoft accounts. However, suddenly I'm being prompted to log in manually again. (I updated to 11.3-U3.1 and I'm using a differnt PC, not sure which instigated the problem.)

I've double checked that my email and password match. There are entries in /usr/local/etc/smbusers.map of the form "person = person@domain.com". Is the @ symbol an issue? Windows 10 version is 1909 build 18363.

Inspecting at /var/log/samba4/log.smbd it looks like it's trying to use my username instead of my email. I'm logged in with a Microsoft account, so it's not clear to me why this is happening.

This appears to have been fixed by converting my account back to a local account, signing back into the Microsoft account, then restarting the machine.

There may have been a persistent entry in the Windows Credential Manager.
