Left Hand Pane not visble in 9.1 x64

Hi ,
My apologies if this thread has already been opened.
I have just built out a FreeNAS VM and accessed it using the URL in my VC.
I don't have any Left Hand Menu from which to work with.
Has anyone any ideas on how to resolve this.
Also a Red Alert warning light appeared when I first logged on and it
asked me to change my password. I tried to do this but when I clicked to apply changes nothing
happened.

Just as a follow up to my original email.
When trying to add a Volume (ZFS) - the volume appears but again when clicking to add the Volume, nothing happens.

Have built out the 8.3.1 P2 VM and this does not work either.
Again Left Hand Pane is missing and any task I try to complete will not work.

The problem was the Browser
FF and IE no good
Chrome everything works

Strange, works fine here with Firefox 23.0.1
