Hello

I'm currently using FreeNAS 11.3 on an old Dell Optiplex SFF with i5-2400S CPU and it runs without any issue.
I am only using it to store downloaded movies & TV shows and access them on my android TV with SMB share. No Raid.

I am moving to new hardware I am adding more storage because the Dell only have space for one HDD.
I have already bought Fractal Design Node 304 case and will get MSI H510I motherboard (it's the cheapest mini ITX motherboard I found).

If you stripe the hard disk drives, you increase the chance of full pool failure. I do it for my own Media pool, but I have good backups, (plus the original CDs, DVDs & Blurays).

SMB tends to want faster cores, verses more cores. So skipping the -T version you get 3.5Ghz speed, pretty good. However, you only get 2 cores and 2 threads. That might be enough in general, but during scrubs it may not be.

Other than those comments, I don't have any other comments.
