Incorrect CPU temps HP Proliant DL160 G6 Xeon E5620

Hello All I have an HP Proliant DL160 G6 with an Intel Xeon E5620 CPU running Truenas-12.0-U8.
In the dashboard and in reporting my CPU temps are showing between 78 and 87 degrees C but IPMI shows them to be around 50.
Not sure why there is such a difference but I believe IPMI to be correct as it also shows the front panel to be close to the ambient temperature right in front of the server.

Temperature reporting on servers is nonstandardized and there are a number of competing methods for detecting and reporting temperatures. Fixing this for one kind of mainboard often breaks it for another. Searching for "temperature wrong" will lead you to various past discussions of the issue and will probably lead to some discussions of the various mechanisms.
