Hi all,

I have been running Freenas 0.7 for years.
Now the boot USB stick has failed and I have to reinstall from a new one.
I choose to install Freenas 9.3, with the aim to import my old data (2 x 1Tb disks in RAD1 configuration) with the "Import volume" feature.
I successfully installed Freenas 9.3.
I didn't create any volume, fearing that this would have destroyed the content of the disks.
I select from the GUI interface "Storage - Volumes - Import volume", but the list of the volumes to be imported is empty, and I cannot import anything.
What I'm I doing wrong?
Should I install a new Freenas 0.7 instead of Freenas 9.3?

Thanks everybody

Probably, or better yet, install the latest NAS4Free. The product now called FreeNAS is almost completely unrelated to the product formerly called FreeNAS; the product formerly called FreeNAS is now called NAS4Free.

Thanks danb35, do you know if NAS4Free features an "Import volume" option?
Or should it "attach" to my existing volume configuration?

As danb35 said, you'll want to look at NA4Free instead.

Current versions of FreeNAS only allow for ZFS. If yours are using UFS, that might explain why they can't be imported.

Thanks gpsguy, i'll go for NAS4Free.
Actually, I don't know if the old volume was ZFS or UFS and I have no way to discover it now.
I hope NAS4free can manage it anyway.

I solved with NAS4Free!
After installing, from Disks-Management I was able to import the existing disks, in their RAID1 configuration, and after creating a new mounting point I could access the data.

Thanks to everyone who helped me
