Hello,

Today I swapped a i5-2500 for a E3-1220 v2.

First when I booted my NAS back up I got a few error screens, and it would not progress to screen:

***
'You may try use the following URLs to access the web user interface:'

'htp://192.168.0.%%%'

'Enter an option from 1-14:'
***

However after 2 restarts it did progress to this screen, is this becuase of some set-up required with the new hardware?

Now I can't access the NAS from my PC at the IP address, I only have this set-up for the top Network port on the NAS. I have tried both just incase.

Any suggestions as to how I troubleshoot this? I am not sure if the hardware change has anything to do with this...

Thanks,

Swapping out the CPU shouldn't have any impact on networking if it booted okay.

Can you post the output of ifconfig?

You've plugged the ethernet cable into the wrong port. Device em0 shows you have an IP address of 192.168.0.201, but if you look below you'll see status: no carrier. If you look at em1, you'll see it has status: active.

Plug the ethernet cable into the other ethernet port and reboot. You should then be able to access the web UI.

Thanks for the help its up and running now.

I had tried the other network port however without the reboot. That must of been what I missed.

Thanks Again.
