Ok. I've been having a lot of problems. This is my first time building my own PC. I tried installing OpenIndiana to one hard drive, it took a few tries but eventually worked...only to freeze up at the load screen. Couldn't get it to work after that, tried another another drive to failure. Tried installing FreeNAS but each time I tried, it couldn't find the disc bootable. Even though it worked on my windows laptop. So then I was able to install Ubuntu Server, but now when it goes to load, it just keeps blinking the "_" character. I've given up. Any ideas anyone?

May be of note that I've turned virtualization on in BIOS. Not sure if it has anything to do with it.

Appreciate any help
