I've downloaded the latest version of freenas and burnt to a cd (i also tried the usb boot option but this failed with mountroot)

when put cd my system is unable to boot from it and it is not listed in the options to boot from (i have gigabyte uefi bios motherboard) - i know there is nothing wrong with dvd drive or the installer as if I use a windows bootable disc this is seen in the boot options.

I've tried the freenas installer on my other pc and this works fine

So can anyone advise on how to get freenas to work on my system

Mobo is GA-F2A85XM-D3H
AMD FM2 CPU
16 GB ram
2 x 3TB WDC
2 x 2TB WDC
1 x 1TB WDC
1 x 320GB Seagate
1 x 120GB SSD
1 x DVDROM (to be removed after install)

I was looking at installing on a 16GB USB 2.0 drive (Kingston Data Traveller)

Any help appreciated

After some further trial and error I've managed to get this working - changed some more settings in bios (set some options to legacy) and put the image on the data traveller directly and seems to have worked

just got to now import disks and then migrate the data from the ntfs drives
