Hi.
I want to have my freenas server be my network clock using a serial gps, with pps support.
I have already made some changes in /conf/base/etc/rc.d/ix-ntpd to make them persistent through
a reboot. (ntp.conf)
I also need a symlink in /dev (from /dev/cuau0 to /dev/gps1) and this I have to create each time
I reboot freenas, and after that, I have to restart ntpd. (since I'm a noob, I do this by changing a ntp
server-line in the gui.
How can I make a symlik that will persist a reboot?
(Also, pps doesn't seem to work properly, with the error message:
refclock_nmea: time_pps_kcbind failed: Operation not supported
Do I need to rebuild the kernel to fix this? and is it trivial to do?)
