Hi,
Does anyone know why the console keeps showing this error?

I was wondering what caused this error and how this can be corrected.

Thanks in advance.

Did you configure a host name. Look under network/global configuration/host name in the web GUI.

Yes, I've configured it a hostname.
Please check out the screen shot and I've got all these errors which I don't know how to fix it, anyone could help?
Thank you!

It's trying to resolve DNS entries for external sites.

Ensure that you configured a default gateway address as well as DNS server entries.

Based on the screen shot above, can anyone tell me why it failed on SMART for my /dev/ada1 and the unreadable error?
Thanks,

You've got a failing drive. It even says backup your stuff now

Thanks for your prompt reply, although that was the last thing I was to hear; if that is the case, i guess I have to replace it with a new one then.

Thanks again!

Even if you have the ability to RMA the current one, if you don't have a spare on hand, I'd buy one locally and replace the bad one ASAP.

... i guess I have to replace it with a new one then.

was your hostname issue related to the HDD failure?

I am having a similar issue (no SMART failure) but cant connect to my NAS unless i delete my static interface.

Why are you setting a static interface?
