Just a quick hello.

I collect records, DJ, a member of the 501st Legion, I work in the parachute industry and mess about with computers when I get the chance.

I am here to seek assistance on setting up freeNAS on my Acer revocenter....which of coarse is being a pain!!


I wouldn't consider myself a total "noob" when it comes to computers but you never really stop learning with this stuff do you?

According to some spec's I just found on a RevoCenter, it looks like the maximum memory it will take is 4Gb. ZFS on FreeNAS needs a minimum of 8Gb of RAM. You might want to look into NAS4Free (www.nas4free.org). It will run on systems with less memory than FreeNAS.
