FreeNAS 9.2.1.7 fails to detect Adaptec RAID5 array after replacing mobo

My original mobo failed so I transfered my Adaptec PCI IDE RAID5 card from my failed mobo to a newer mobo.
I created a new USB Freenas 9.2.1.7 boot stick to replace the original IDE boot HDD as that failed along with the mobo.
When booting the PC the RAID5 array is detected during POST but when Freenas finishes booting there is no sign of the RAID5 array.
UFS does not list any HDD's.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Move to ZFS, get rid of the ancient RAID controller and restore from backup.
