Edit minidlna plugin 8.2.0

Trying to make minidlna work on ps3. Checked out source at https://freenas.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/freenas/branches/8.2.0/nanobsd/plugins/ but all I found were php files. FreeNAS plugins documentation isn't clear about what you do with the port files from freshports.org when creating your own pbi.

Pray, very hard, pray some more, find a leprechaun/genie/other magical being or object, cross your fingers and toes....

Maybe if you're very very very lucky it *might* work....

I haven't been so lucky, but if something changes I'll share.

Yeah tried to create my own pbi and after hours of compiling they keep failing so I just replaced the pbi's minidlna with my own modified version.

Minidlna PBI is based on old Minidlna version and can't be fully configured from GUI.
Better install Minidlna port from sources as described here:
http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Plugins#Compiling_FreeBSD_Ports_with_make

Jail and mount points can be set from FreeNAS GUI.

Pray not - minidlna is woefully inadequate and is a lot of pain to even get half there. Protosd has developed a pbi for Serviio, and it is working well. We can bury minidlna now.

Serviio handled not only basic dlna but also has profiles for media renderers for most TVs/PS3/Xbox etc. Good luck!!
