Dell 6/iR IT Mode or No?

Long time lurker, first time poster :)

I just recently acquired a Dell R710 and am running vSphere as a base, a FreeNAS VM and a Ubuntu Server VM (for Plex). I have the 6/iR passed through to the FreeNAS VM, and to my knowledge SMART reporting works fine right now. Do I still need to flash it to IT mode? It is still capable of creating RAID 0 and 1 arrays, so I don't believe it is in IT mode right now.

Probably not IT mode. Have you created individual disks on your dell? If so zfs is not managing. Triple check.
