Constant Write to HDD

I have FreeNAS setup to record 4 IP cameras to a WD Red. Between each motion detection recording to the HDD, there seems to be a constant write - could this be logs, camera buffer? I'm a little concerned that this constant write may damage the HDD over time?

I'd expect it to be more than just FreeNAS stuff. Probably something to do with the cameras.

Not a problem, in any case.
