Hey guys,

So I have 2 data sets on a 5 drive ZFS.
I'm currently on 9.2.1.9.

I want to do a clean install of 9.3 and just re-import my data.
BUT I want to nuke everything else, like the Jails and Plugins and start it all from fresh.

If I re-import my data will it import the jail datasets?
Or how should I do this?

Sorry I'm still learning Freenas.

Should I delete the Jails/Plugins before upgrading?
And if so, is there a way to make sure the Jail datasets are cleared too?

Jails/Plugins are interesting. The only thing that goes into the config database is the jail root (from Jails -> Configuration) and the jails' networking info. The jails themselves and their contents live in datasets.

If you nuke all of the jails and plugins, that should take care of deleting both.

Is there a command or something I can run to scan the main dataset and remove any junk and do a clean?
Like any left over files or what not?

Nope, that's up to you to determine what you want to keep
