Cant send outgoing email from FreeNAS

I get this error message when trying to send a test email to myself.

Ever since I moved I have not been able to get this to work. Same router, modem, ISP..

using below settings
From email: root@freenas.local
Outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com
Port to connect to: 25
TLS/SSL: TLS
Use SMTP Authentication: Box checked
Username: my Hotmail email address.
Password: my Hotmail password

Despite what is the same, something must have changed. Find the change, fix the problem. Are you sure you didn't change the password, because this looks like an access denied situation. Last time I got this, it was because I had changed my email password on the email server and did not update it in FreeNAS.

My guess is that root@freenas.local may not be a verified (alias) address on your smtp.live.com account. Perhaps the base configuration of the account/server was changed by the admin (Microsoft) since you set up/last tested FreeNAS? Try it using as "From" your email address for that account, your Hotmail email address, I imagine.

That was the fix. just had to change the "from" address to my email. Thanks!
