I just built a nas out of an old dimension 2400 with 3x 400gb pata drives. I hooked it into the network and configured a raidz and turned on spindown on all the drives. I thought I configured the windows sharing right, but when i go to the network folder in windows 7 home premium 64 bit, It doesnt show anything. (i set up my first network with this server)

I've followed 2 or 3 tutorials and its still not being recognized for me to set up a network drive.

I have very little network experience so could you help a noob?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

starting from simple things:
have turned on the cifs service in service cnotrol page?
can you access the nas root folder? (start -> run -> \\192.168.1.2, where 192.168.1.2 is your nas ip)
