cant access CIFS share windows 7 x64 freeNAS 9.1.1

Is the CIFS share activated in the services part ? I had the same problem a week ago, the problem was the volumes so I have to access my data from an AFP download it to a HDD and then reformat the volumes activate the CIFS share and reupload the data...

I just figured it out. You must provide read and execute rights for all users on the hole path, from the volume you created on freenas server, all the way down to each and every dataset. So, "tony" should have read and execute on the volume (put it in the group that owns the volume) and also give him the right to execute the dataset. Should work perfect.
This needs to be more visible. Especially the part about "from the volume" all the way down.
