Please provide detailed hardware information, as well as version of FreeNAS per the forum rules in red at the top of the page.

Imagine if I said "my truck won't run" and gave you a picture of my truck. I didn't provide enough information to be helpful. .

Please furnish this information (as text) in the body of the message. Those of us on mobile device can't easily look at a .tgz file.

  • Hard drives, quantity, model numbers, and RAID configuration, including boot drives
  • Hard disk controllers

ada0 is usually your boot drive.

What disks have you connected to which controller?

You can not store any data on your boot drive and it can also not be used for plugins/jails/VMs. Boot drives are for booting (and a little system logging), nothing else.
