The iXsystems Professional Services division recently expanded its service offerings to include 24×7 professional enterprise problem resolution support. Our highly-qualified and experienced support staff handles your issues round the clock and across the globe, with calling centers in the US, Europe and Asia.
The addition of long-time FreeBSD heavyweights — such as Josh Paetzel, Warner Losh, Alexander Motin and Xin Li — brought years of experience and rounded out the technical support team to handle a greater breadth and depth of consultation and development services. iXsystems’ team offers an array of services, including but not limited to:

  • Writing drivers for your custom hardware
  • Writing drivers for commodity hardware not yet supported by FreeBSD
  • Adding support for new platforms in one of FreeBSD’s embedded platforms (ARM, MIPS, PowerPC)
  • Porting FreeBSD applications from one version to another
  • Porting FreeBSD-based systems to newer revisions
  • Advising on how to setup your FreeBSD tree to track internal changes as well as FreeBSD changes
  • Advising how to setup FreeBSD infrastructure, how to optimize build servers, etc.
  • Working with companies to contribute back patches they have developed.
  • Working with companies to determine whether contributing their own code to the FreeBSD community or keeping it proprietary is more valuable to their operation.
  • Creating an infrastructure to build a FreeBSD-based product using FreeBSD tools such as NanoBSD.

Their combined expertise is a great asset to both iXsystems and its customers. We are both excited and proud to have them on board.
