With PC-BSD® 8.0 Hubble out the door, we’ve already begun working on features / fixes for 8.1.
New options for the installation, such as more complex ZFS setups with multi-disk zpools & mount-points, along with GPT & gpart support and more have already been committed. We’ve also begun adding support for advanced disk encryption, such as supplying a pass-phrase which is required at boot to mount a disk. Kris began keeping a list of TODO’s for 8.1 on the PC-BSD® wiki page, and highly encourages you to take a look, and add to it with bugfixes / requests:
