The BSD Certification Group announced last week that Matt Olander, CTO of iXsystems, has been elected to the BSD Certification Group Board of Directors.
“Matt’s election to the BSDCG Board of Directors is excellent news. His enthusiasm for BSD is well known, and his support of the BSDCG over the years has been a key factor in our success. We are pleased and excited to have him on the team,” says Jim Brown, a current member of the BSDCG Board of Directors.
The BSD Certification Group (BSDCG) is committed to creating and maintaining a global certification standard for system administration on BSD based UNIX operating systems. The Board of Directors consists of five members, whose responsibilities include participating in monthly meetings and helping set the direction of the BSD Certification Group.
Matt’s position is a two year term ending on June 1, 2012. Nominees include anyone from the general BSD community as well as any interested organization or company. Nominees with the highest number of votes in the recent election will fill a vacated seat and fill two new member seats on the Board.
