ZVOL Replication&Restore Procedures

I was wondering if there are any procedures I need to do when restoring a zvol from replication dataset. I have a Core system running remotely, from which I am replicating a volume to a Scale system running locally. That volume is used as VM disk and when I recreated that VM on the Scale system and gave it that same disk, I found the OS boots, but all the services on it are broken and permissions don't work the same. I originally thought everything should just work, the VM shouldn't be able to recognize anything has changed, but clearly it did.
