Hi, I am a novice. I setup a very small RAID 1 FreeNAS server for a buddy; two 60Gig drives. He came into work and his CIFS share was unavailable. I don't even know where to start. In SHELL; ZPool Status returns NO POOLS AVAILABLE
FreeNAS-8.0.3-RELEASE-p1-x86 (9591
On boot I briefly see something about mnt/data not dismounting properly.
One of the drives is making a bunch of noise like it failed, but I can't revoer anything at this point. I thought I would be able to just swap in a new drive but that did not work either. Please forgive my inexperience. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been at the command prompt trying zfs commands and zpool commands and nothing works. I read something about my partition file being corrupted, but GPart Recover tells me that it is not necessary.
Thanks, I would be happy to pay for someone's time to help me out.
