Hello,

today we assembled a server with a X11SAE-M mobo + I5 Kaby Lake. Everything was ok and we also tried a long memtest86 and a full Windows 10 installation to test the hardware but at the next reboot the pc started an endless loop where it stays on for 3 secs the turn off, then on for 3 secs... forever. Nothing on display (no post). Tried to remove every component in sequence (ie ram, clear CMOS, new PSU....) but with the same problem: only if I disconnect the 4+4 EPS connector the system stays ON but of course nothing else. Any hint ?

You may have a bad board, but I must question the choice of processor. An i5 does not support ECC RAM.
